I cancelled my reservations at the place next door after glancing at the menu here. I walked into a culinary journey at this modern Indian gem, where traditional flavors meet contemporary flair. Each dish arrived looking like a piece of art. We indulged in the sensory delight of gol gappas, each one bursting with a symphony of tangy tamarind and subtle spice. The puri offered a tantalizing crunch, accompanied by the invigorating notes of mint and coriander in the pani. The dahi puri is a masterpiece of contrasts, marrying crisp puris with velvety sweet yogurt and a subtle array of savory spices. This restaurant doesn't just serve dishes; it crafts experiences that linger on the taste buds, inviting you to savor the essence of Indian cuisine in every bite. The happy hour menu offered a variety of enjoyable dishes, served with just the right amount of items. A fantastic experience in the heart of Santa Clara. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu.

Excellent Indian food in the Bay area. Good take on pretty much all the Indian authentic dishes. Service was pretty good as well. I liked the ambulance too. Would definitely recommend and come again. I'm yet to try their cocktails.

The ambience of this place is lovely. Nice interiors and colours however the food is just about average neither for the taste , flavour or portion and can cost $50 per person with no drinks. Really not worth spending so much very average food.

Food: If you love authentic Indian food, this is not it. The biryani was wet... But the appetizers were all great especially the chicken bits (forgot the name). Drinks: The whiskey mizu was really good, would skip the one that is basically aperol spitz... Service: This is where I had some problem. The host was not very nice when we came in, he didnt really want to help us and took away all the menus when we only ordered drinks and apps since we were waiting for others to join. We had to ask for naan 3x before the brought it to us. We made reservation to sit outside, and confirmed with them on the call. When we show up, they forced us to sit by the kitchen. The 20% mandated tip was really painful given the experience.

Had some interesting finds like Smoked Dahi papdi, Honey chilli cauliflower was good and also the desserts. from my group from someone who ordered lamb heard its not properly cooked. I felt the main course plate for pricey for the smaller portion sizes for $18. After starters were served it took a long time for us to get the main course, it was not much busy either.

I came here yesterday for my husband birthday “I had an exceptional experience at Jaks an Indian fine dining gem. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an elegant ambiance. The flavors in every dish were truly authentic and masterfully crafted, offering a delightful journey through Indian cuisine. The staff’s knowledge and recommendations added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Lovely food and great ambiance. The biryani is absolutely amazing and aromatic. Very fine, rich and subtle taste compared other ultra spicy and cheap Biryanis in the South Bay. Great place if you are a fan of fine dining.

The food doesn’t stand up to the stature of fine dining in my opinion. The taste of most of the things we tried was good but there was nothing special. You expect to get an elevated experience at such a place which was absent. Cocktails, Ambience, and service are pretty good. They also serve a generous quantity. Tuk Aloo - It was quite basic. Taste was okay. Chicken fry - It was crispy and soft. Quantity was good. Garlic and rosemary paratha - They were quite thick and did not taste good. Jackfruit kofta - A generous quantity and taste was good. Ghewar - It was very dense to the point that it was hard to cut with a spoon. It should be much more delicate. Not recommended. Cocktails saved the day for us. They were quite unique and definitely worth a try. You can visit just for the cocktails. Overall I have a hard time recommending this place. Taste is important for me and this place did not stand up to my expectation for the kind of money spent here.
